I'd like to see this data available on a site's dashboard. We can see number of participants, visitors, why not the number of people subscribed to the initiative? Even a number of subscribers listed on each idea.

I'm not sure if I understand your request correctly...

But you should be able to sort the items in a step with the sort menu at the top right of the view.
